National treasure Sammy Nestico is acclaimed as one of the most prolific contributors to the field of music in the last hundred years. As a composer, orchestrater, writer, arranger, and last but not least, an educator, Sammy worked in classical, jazz and big band. He was instrumental in molding the careers of some of the greatest music icons of all time.  Sammy’s star studded career spanned over eighty years, working to an age when most people retire. 

On October 22, 2001, the Maestro stepped out of the shadows to fulfill his dreams. On that day, through exclusive access, our cameras captured musical history in the making.
