While with the Airmen of Note, Sammy wrote his first composition of “ THE QUEEN BEE”, a song written for his 1st wife Margie. This sticker was created from his piano score for the U.S.A.F. band under Lt. John O’Seeke. “THE QUEEN BEE” became his audition piece for The Count Basie Orchestra.
